J.Crew Launches Ski & Snowboard Collection

J.Crew, reinforcing its long-standing connection to the après ski style, has unveiled its first collection created in collaboration with the U.S. Ski & Snowboard organization.

The collection will go on sale beginning Thursday on jcrew.com, with the entire collection, and at J.Crew stores with an edited selection.

“It’s really rooted in alpine culture, which is very much part of the J.Crew DNA,” Libby Wadle, chief executive officer of J.Crew Group, told WWD. “This product collaboration really brings to life those moments on the mountain and then hanging out off the mountain, and feeling very, very J.Crew.”

The collection is well-timed, debuting just a month before the Feb. 6 opening ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. While J.Crew won’t have a presence at the Olympics, the collaboration has a campaign featuring competing elite athletes and community-focused activations. “We’re proud to spotlight the remarkable journeys of these athletes and build excitement around the sport as they head toward the Winter Games,” Wadle said.

The 26-piece collection spans knitwear; elevated loungewear; cold-weather accessories for women, men, and kids, and vintage-inspired patches. There are also two performance jackets, for men and women. They were created with U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s on-mountain partner, Kappa, with a “refined mountainside design.”

“If you go back into our catalogue archives, there’s a lot of amazing imagery of J.Crew on the mountains, and on the chair lifts, so this collection feels organic and fun, and it celebrates the U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes as they begin the Olympics,” Wadle said. “The product collaboration is rooted in what our design team went through — our own archives and the archives of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard, which has an incredible array of vintage ski emblems and archival Olympic patches.”

Also in the collection are intarsia cashmere sweaters depicting mountain landscapes, merino layers to wear after or while skiing; hats, fleece and lounge pieces, all with vintage, archival emblems, and “easy-to-grab T-shirts and hoodies.”

With the exception of the Kappa jackets, “It’s not performance,” Wadle said. “But it is intentionally planned to be worn on the mountain and off the mountain, après ski. It’s very, very Americana.”

“This partnership brings together athletes, fans and supporters through a shared sense of pride in U.S. Ski & Snowboard,” Sophie Goldschmidt, president and CEO of U.S. Ski & Snowboard, said in a statement. “By celebrating the passion and spirit behind the sport, we hope to inspire the next generation to see themselves on the mountain and believe in what’s possible.”

The campaign features Olympic silver medalist freeskier Colby Stevenson; Olympian and X Games medalist snowboarder Hailey Langland; X Games medalist freeskier Rell Harwood; Olympian and World Cup medalist alpine skier River Radamus; Olympian and world champion freeskier Tess Johnson, and Paralympian and two-time world champion Para snowboarder Zach Miller.

“There’s a lot of optimism and joy that comes through the campaign, which we shot in Austria,” Wadle said. “We had a lot of fun with it. We never take ourselves too seriously.”

“Alpine style has always been part of the J.Crew lifestyle. Drawing from our rich archives, these pieces capture a retro spirit with a modern perspective on fit and color,” Olympia Gayot, J.Crew’s creative director of women’s and children’s design, said in a statement.

“Skiing and snowboarding are becoming increasingly central to culture, and the enthusiasm for snow sports has never been higher. We’re excited to meet this moment with a fresh take
on classic American winter style. This collection honors our shared histories while celebrating the elite athletes shaping the future of the sport,” Brendon Babenzien, J.Crew’s creative director of men’s, said in a statement.
