On Thursday night, Alexander Wang celebrated the ribbon-cutting for The Wang Contemporary — a cultural platform dedicated to supporting and amplifying Asian and Asian American creatives — with a starry celebration that drew industry insiders and celebrities alike. Among the standout guests was Ice Spice, who made a bold entrance in a furry look and extra-pointy heels.
The “Did It First” singer was snapped heading into the new space, situated at the intersection of Canal Street and the Manhattan Bridge in Chinatown. For the occasion, Ice Spice slipped into glossy patent leather pumps with an ultra-sharp pointed toe. The shoes featured a V-shaped vamp — a silhouette popularized by Phoebe Philo during her tenure at Celine. Despite New York’s frigid forecast, the musician forwent tights, opting to bare her legs.

Ice Spice paired the sleek pumps with a plush, head-turning ensemble. Up top, she was cocooned in the namesake designer’s chestnut-hued faux-fur jacket, cut in a cropped silhouette with a collarless V-neckline and hook-and-bar closures. She layered the statement outerwear over a mixed-texture dress, featuring a black bodice and a coordinating faux-fur skirt in the same rich brown tone as her coat.

She hit the affair in pointed-toe pumps.

For accessories, the Grammy-winning singer added a heaping dose of shimmer to the outfit with a dazzling diamond statement necklace. A sparkly light pink handbag introduced a playful pop of color. Meanwhile, Ice Spice’s signature pastel pink hair provided a striking contrast against the black-and-brown look.
Ice Spice shares a long-standing relationship with the New York–based designer, having served as the face of the brand’s spring 2024 campaign. The event also brought out Ming Lee Simmons, the 26-year-old daughter of Kimora Lee Simmons, who opted for a formfitting black minidress accented with a diamond-encrusted chunky necklace. Guests were treated to performances from the Korean American Youth Choir of New York and Kaka, a Peking opera vocalist.
