NEW BEGINNINGS: Ib Kamara has a new venture.
The fashion stylist has launched Raw Materials by Ib Kamara, a 360 creative agency.
“For me, a 360 agency is about freedom, the freedom to create without borders. At this stage in my career, I’m drawn to working across a vast spectrum of ideas, mediums and people. I’ve spent years collaborating with diverse creatives on an endless range of briefs, and that’s given me a deep foundation, a kind of creative fluency, that I now want to offer to brands and collaborators,” he said in an interview.

“The agency is built on flexibility. Instead of being confined to one discipline, we can shape-shift according to the vision of each project whether that means art direction, styling, image-making or sound. It’s about bringing together a collective of creative minds who can meet a client’s needs with agility, depth and imagination,” he added.
The Off-White creative director and former Dazed editor wants to create a space for new voices in the industry that includes stylists, photographers and other creative disciplines.
Kamara chose the name Raw Materials because of the “the textures, colors, sounds and emotions” that goes into making art.
“They’re the first sparks, the unpolished beginnings that everything beautiful grows from. In many ways, that mirrors my own creative evolution. I started with styling, but my practice has expanded into design, photography, creative direction, even music,” he said.
Kamara’s new venture is being represented by the talent agency New School, which also represents Campbell Addy, Jawara Alleyne and Gareth Wrighton.
