Alex and Ani partnered with Hot Wheels on a new, limited-edition jewelry collection. The jewelry company and Mattel brand embrace nostalgia and sentimentality, with new charms, jewelry pieces and more in the collaborative collection launching on Monday via Alex and Ani’s official website.
“As we celebrate Mattel’s 80th anniversary, we’re thrilled to partner again with Alex and Ani,” said Meredith Norrie, vice president of global licensing and consumer products at Mattel. “Hot Wheels has long ignited a passion for performance and personal expression, and this collaboration brings that spirit to life in a bold, wearable way.”

The Alex and Ani x Hot Wheels limited-edition release combines the high performance of die-cast racing with Alex and Ani’s emphasis on charms and sentimental jewelry pieces. The collection is designed with Hot Wheels fans in mind, yet also features a distinct air of refinement.
The jewelry collection takes iconography from Mattel’s beloved brand and elevates the designs, crafting highly detailed three-dimensional charms with richly pigmented enamel. The collection of racing-focused accessories embraces Hot Wheels’ design while also highlighting Alex and Ani at their best, creating jewelry at the intersection of pop culture and style.

Bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings created with Alex and Ani’s technical prowess and idiosyncratic detailing like moving cars, hex nut and wrench toggle closures and hidden messages feature throughout the collection. The limited-edition release blends nostalgia with self-expression.
“There is an inherent nostalgic power and carefree joy to Hot Wheels that’s very compelling. Combining those attributes with Alex + Ani’s ability to bring a deeper meaning to jewelry felt fresh and unexpected,” said Prita Kumar, chief executive officer of Alex and Ani.

“Also, my many weekends spent racing on the Hot Wheels Epic Crash Dash may have had something to do with why I personally lobbied my team to take on this fun collaboration.”
The Hot Wheels partnership is the latest collaboration for Alex and Ani as the jewelry company continues to find footing at the intersection of accessories and pop culture. Last June, the jewelry brand collaborated with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products on a collection of jewelry inspired by the new film adaptation of “Superman.”
