Hoda Kotb opted for her own take on power dressing for her final episode as a correspondent and cohost on NBC’s “Today” show in New York City on Friday. The longtime correspondent departs the series after serving as a cohost for roughly 17 years.
For the sentimental occasion, Kotb opted for a white suit. The ensemble featured a blazer designed with sharp lapels and coordinated with wide-leg trousers, tailored for her silhouette.
Kotb accentuated the white suit with a pair of neutral-tone heels. As for her glam, the “Today” host styled her hair with volume and opted for a natural makeup look with a pop of color thanks to her red lip. Though her attire put the journalist front and center among her peers, it was her sentimental jewelry that carried the deepest meaning.
Kotb wore stacks of bracelets, rings and neckalces for her final “Today” episode. Referencing her longtime cohost Savannah Guthrie, Kotb pointed out “this top bracelet that says, ‘With You,’” a gift she received from Guthrie. Kotb also pointed out a ring Guthrie gave her that says “Love.”
Later, Guthrie and Kotb ventured outside to greet cheering fans. Kotb bundled up for the chilly wintertime temperatures in New York City. She wore a gray hat with a coordinated coat featuring a belted waist.
Throughout her time as a cohost on “Today,” Kotb merged trendy style with classic silhouettes for an eclectic wardrobe that consistently demonstrated a feminine take on professional office attire. The journalist and “Today” correspondent regularly paired bold colors and patterns with sentimental pieces.
Kotb joined the “Today” show in 2007. She began cohosting alongside Kathie Lee Gifford until Gifford’s departure in 2019. Along with her “Today” show cohosting duties, Kotb joined Guthrie and other “Today” anchors to cohost the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade beginning in 2018.
