Here’s Every Car That Debuted At The New York International Auto Show

Not every reveal at this year’s Auto Show was a new car. There were a handful that were just special editions and trims of already-existing vehicles. Still, that counts as a reveal in my book, but I don’t have the mental fortitude to write out a full synopsis of each of them.

2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Appearance Package

This was by far my favorite because of its simplicity. The Ford Expedition, an SUV Ford really didn’t need to celebrate, turns 30 in 2027. But, it wanted to commemorate the occasion, so it gave it a coat of the best paint in its entire lineup — Blue Ember metallic tri-coat off the Mustang Dark Horse — and called it a day.

Sure, it added a few badges inside and out, and it gets a uniquely painted wheel option, but that’s really it. Still, I like it because this truck and I are just about the same age. We’ve grown up together. Kudos to you, 2027 Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Appearance Package.

2027 Genesis GV70 Prestige Graphite trim

Do you love the Genesis GV70 but wish it had more carbon fiber and was gray? Well, the Korean automaker is hooking you up with the 2027 GV70 Prestige Graphite trim level. On the outside, it gives the compact crossover red brake calipers, gloss black mirror caps and other dark chrome and gloss black exterior accents. Additionally, you can either pick from Ceres Blue Matte or Bering Blue paint colors.

Inside, you’ll find Ultramarine Nappa leather seating with suede inserts, lots of carbon fiber interior trim pieces and a unique startup animation. It’s very exciting, I know.

2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 edition

This right here is certainly the silliest special edition vehicle at the show. Why Dodge decided to be vaguely subtle with the Durango GT America250 edition is beyond me, but here we are. It’s available with either a Pentastar V6 or 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and looks pretty much like a regular Durango on the outside. Sure, it comes with some American flag decals and badging and dual stripes, but that’s pretty much it. It also comes in red, white or blue — but not all three at the same time, which is a missed opportunity.

On the inside, you’ll find an American flag embossed on the front seats, as well as red and white stitching on the steering wheel. It’s fine. It’s whatever. America is in a rough spot right now. I can’t wait to ask this car where it was on January 6.
