Hannah Waddingham’s Croc-Embossed Boots Edged Up Her Wool Coat Look

On Friday, Hannah Waddingham put her stamp on fall’s croc-embossed shoe trend while celebrating season two of the ITV documentary series “Champions: Full Gallop” — which shares a behind-the-scenes look at the jump horse racing world — at the Cheltenham Racecourse in Cheltenham, England.

The British actress and singer’s of-the-moment shoes hail from luxury footwear powerhouse Christian Louboutin. Currently available on resale sites like Postmark and Depop, the glossy texture added edge to her otherwise sophisticated outfit. The boots boasted a slim high heel, pointy toe and ankle-hugging silhouette. As for her outfit, Waddingham bundled up in a long maroon wool coat, which covered up the top half of the knee-high boots.

The “Ted Lasso” star went with a matchy-matchy look, toting around a handbag in a similar-looking rich red shade. Elsewhere in her ensemble, Waddingham donned a black turtleneck knit. She rounded out the polished fashion moment with a black fedora, thick gold hoops, an equally chunky ring and a black watch. Waddingham’s blonde tresses peek out from underneath the hat, while her makeup was minimal and soft. During the lively outdoor event, she presented an award to the winner of the Novices Hurdle.

As noted, croc-embossed footwear has been picking up speed this season. On the fall 2025 runways, the design popped up at shows like Patou (in the form of knee-high boots), Dries Van Noten (slide-on flats) and Ulla Johnson (over-the-knee boots).

Fashion-forward celebrities have taken a liking to the trend, too. One such star is Michelle Yeoh, who garnered attention at Milan Fashion Week last month in Bottega Veneta’s croc-embossed Madame platforms. It’s only a matter of time before more A-listers step out in the fall shoe trend.
