Halle Berry joined her fellow jury members and special guests on the red carpet for the opening ceremony and “Leave One Day” premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday in France. The Oscar-winning actress was joined by jury president Juliette Binoche, and guests Bella Hadid, Julia Garner and more.
For the red carpet occasion, Berry opted for a sleeveless dress courtesy of Jacquemus‘ spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The actress’ trapeze dress was made of silk organza fabric with vertical black and white stripes. The dress gathered in the back with Rond-Carré Bijoux.

Berry opted to go minimal with her jewelry, favoring to keep the focus of her look on her strapless dress. Her blunt bob was styled with a side part and featured soft waves. The actress’ look was curated by stylist Maryam Malakpour, who also put together another look Berry wore upon arrival to Cannes on Monday.
The actress’ Cannes Film Festival wardrobe already consists of a look from Alexandre Vauthier‘s spring 2025 couture collection. The actress wore a swinging fringe look to the 2025 Jury Dinner.

As for Berry’s red carpet attire for Tuesday, the dress made its debut as part of Paris Fashion Week last January. The eponymous designer was inspired by latter-day French couturiers like Christian Dior and Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel taking the United States by storm. As such, he reimagined this collection for 1950s America.
“I wanted a very intimate, almost like a salon moment. I watched a lot of old couture [shows] with salons, and I also wanted to be honest with you, like being in front of you with just my silhouettes, no artifice,” he explained after the show, per Joelle Diderich’s review of the collection.

“Because Jacquemus shows are always [in] beautiful locations, insane, and sometimes I felt like the collection could disappear.”
The 2025 Cannes Film Festival begins Tuesday and concludes May 24. Films premiering at this year’s festival include Wes Anderson’s “The Phoenician Scheme,” Julia Ducournau’s “Alpha” and Lynne Ramsay’s “Die, My Love.”
