Hailee Steinfeld joined members of the cast and creative team behind the forthcoming film “Sinners” for the movie’s photo call in Mexico City on Sunday. The Oscar-nominated “True Grit” actress posed for photos alongside costar Michael B. Jordan and filmmaker Ryan Coogler.
For the photo op, Steinfeld opted for fiery attire courtesy of The New Arrivals by Ilkyaz Özel. Steinfeld’s look consisted of a silk-chiffon floor-length cape top paired with a maxiskirt in the same vibrant hue of red.

The entire sartorial statement created a liquid-like effect, with the sheer silk fabric of the cape top flowing down Steinfeld’s arms and the high-waisted skirt completely covering her feet. A standout element of the look was Steinfeld’s use of the peekaboo bra trend.
The aforementioned trend saw a major resurgence in 2024. Such stars as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kristen Stewart, Sydney Sweeney, Katie Holmes and more styled the trend, popularized by the likes of Madonna and other adventurous fashionistas decades ago.

Steinfeld previously embraced the peekaboo bra trend at the “Arcane” Season Two premiere in October 2024. For the red carpet event, the actress wore another design by Ilkyaz Özel, featuring a long-sleeve black gown with a slimming silhouette and contrasted by a gold peekaboo bra.
Steinfeld’s latest look as she begins her “Sinners” promotional tour seamlessly merges two standout trends, one of which remains a ubiquitous part of many red carpet events each new season. Combining her sheer cape top with the peekaboo bra trend gave Steinfeld’s look an elevated contemporary edge.

“Sinners” follows twin brothers Elijah and Elias Smoke (Michael B. Jordan) who, in an effort to leave their troubled pasts behind them, return home. The brothers find, however, that an even greater evil awaits them. “Sinners” hits theaters April 18.
