Gymnast Jordan Chiles Becomes Hero Cosmetics Latest Global Ambassador

Jordan Chiles has landed a new partnership with Hero Cosmetics.

The 24-year-old, who competed in the 2020 and 2024 Olympics alongside Simone Biles and Suni Lee, is now a global ambassador for the skin care brand known for its Mighty blemish patches. This ambassadorship follows the brand’s partnership with influencer Alix Earle last year and multiyear partnerships with the New York Liberty team and Formula 1.

“We always knew we wanted to work with an athlete and Jordan exemplifies everything that our brand stands for,” Ju Rhyu, cofounder and chief executive officer of Hero, told WWD in an emailed statement. Rhyu launched Hero in 2017 on Amazon.

Chiles’ parternship will mark a major turning point in the brand’s marketing efforts. Rhyu said the company plans on hosting its first live event with Chiles later this year to give consumers the chance to connect with the athlete and the products. This face-to-face model comes as Hero continues to focus on expanding its brand awareness. In addition to the in-person engagements, Chiles’ partnership will also include numerous brand campaigns and sponsored social media posts.

Rhyu described Chiles as the ideal ambassador to usher in a new era of Hero. She said Chiles was both an inspiration and a role model, on and off the mat, which automatically made her the company’s dream choice.

“She’s also used the brand for so many years and authentic use and love for the brand are always at the center of our partnership decisions. With all the dedication and drive that it takes to be an Olympic athlete — Jordan’s strength is a beacon for all and it exemplifies the self-love and power Hero has championed from day one,” Rhyu said, noting Chiles’ love for Hero’s Mighty Patch Original, Pore Purity, and the Dark Spot products.

Online, Chiles has been candid about her struggles with acne, revealing the skin care routine that’s helped her manage her breakouts. She told WWD that she’s basically tried “everything under the sun.”

“I’ve come a long way in my acne journey. I had really bad acne when I was younger and I still get breakouts on my face and body from all my training, but Hero’s been a game changer for me,” she said. “I love that I can just put on a patch and trust that the patch is doing the work so I can focus on training and gymnastics meets.”

Her favorite part about Hero? The fact that just one tiny patch can shrink the look of her pimple in a single use. “I wear the Mighty Patch with confidence,” she said.
