Greta Lee Keeps It Sharp in Black Leather Stilettos in New York

Greta Lee brought a power pump to morning television, stepping out at “Good Morning America” in Manhattan on Thursday with a pair of sharply pointed stilettos leading the way.

The actress kept the look clean and deliberate: black leather heels, sheer black tights and a tailored outfit from The Row that let the shoe set the line for the rest of the look — long, lean and deliberate.

The shape lands squarely in Gianvito Rossi territory. First introduced more than a decade ago, the pump has quietly become one of the most reliable red-carpet fixtures, favored for its clean lines and exacting proportions. Its signature 105 pump — pointed, lean and cut from soft napa leather — has been everywhere this year. Earlier this fall, the house pushed the silhouette even further with its “Shades of Gianvito” program, adding 30 new suede colorways to meet the kind of demand few shoes ever sustain. Similar court shoes have surfaced at Jimmy Choo and Saint Laurent, both leaning hard into pared-back classics this season.

Lee styled the pumps with a black uniform from The Row’s fall 2025 collection — a white shirt, a long tailored blazer and matte black leggings. The long hem and narrow fit drew the eye straight to the pointed toe, letting the stiletto land as the strongest line in the outfit.

The appearance came one day ahead of the theatrical release of “Tron: Ares,” Lee’s latest film. It follows her recent appointment as a Dior ambassador, marking a busy stretch of red carpets and press stops.

This fall has already seen black stilettos everywhere: Ayo Edebiri wore The Row’s Liisa pumps in New York, and Scarlett Johansson chose patent heels for a CBS appearance. The shape isn’t reinventing anything — that’s the point. It’s the shoe people actually wear.
