Gather AI, a leader in artificial intelligence for logistics, recently announced their first dealer partnership with Burwell Material Handling to bring their AI warehouse drone technology to retail locations nationwide. Burwell will distribute both Gather AI’s drone-based and Material Handling Equipment Vision camera solutions to customers across their 20 brick and mortar centers across the United States.
Why Does This Partnership Matter?
Jeff Buyck, Chief Technology Officer at Burwell Material Handling, said, “We’re always looking for solutions to help our customers better manage their warehouses and optimize order fulfillment. We chose to work with Gather AI, because together we can help our clients improve inventory accuracy, track damaged or expired inventory, and ultimately better serve their customers.”
What is Gather AI’s Technology?
Using AI-enabled machine vision technology developed at Carnegie Mellon University, Gather AI uses MHE to scan more than barcodes, collecting additional crucial data points like lot codes, text, expiration dates, case counts, damages, occupancy, and more. Gather AI software is flexible to a wide range of warehousing setups and environments, including GNS-denied spaces and tight corners.
“Gather AI is committed to helping warehouses optimize their operations,” said Sankalp Arora, Gather AI’s CEO & Co-Founder. “This partnership will help Burwell Material Handling expand their offerings to meet the needs of their customers and overall allow more companies access to our solution.”
How Gather AI’s Approach Achieves Results
This approach has garnered impressive results- according to Gather AI, customers have reported up to 70% improved inventory accuracy, 75% reduction in cycle counting hours, 90% pallet emergencies reduced, and 5X operations productivity. As drones have become an increasingly important part of warehouse management, Gather AI’s integrated approach allows companies to flexibly upgrade their existing solutions with their additional capabilities, creating real ROI for customers. The Gather AI solution is currently deployed in warehouses across third-party logistics, retail distribution, manufacturing, food & beverage, and air cargo at companies including GEODIS, Langham Logistics, NFI Industries, Barrett Distribution, and more.
