Fast & Furious LaMelo Ball Puma Sneakers Release Date

The “Fast & Furious” franchise has welcomed LaMelo Ball and Puma into the family.

The licensed collaboration uses two of Ball’s sneakers to represent four of the cars from the film series. His latest performance basketball model, the MB.05, gets two colorways to recreate the look of Brian O’Conner’s Toyota Supra from the original film and Suki’s Honda S2000 from “2 Fast 2 Furious.” Ball’s two lifestyle sneakers, the LaFrance RNR and LaFrance, then take on the form of Dominic Toretto’s mainstay Dodge Charger R/T and O’Conner’s Nissan R34 Skyline from “2 Fast 2 Furious,” respectively.

The Supra-inspired MB.05 is predominantly rendered in orange with yellow overlays recreating the decal pattern from the car. A few black and silver elements are also used including the addition of the “Fast & Furious” logo on the heel. Just as bright and with its own car-derived pattern is the pink MB.05, which also has the logo in the same spot.

An almost entirely blacked-out LaFrance RNR includes a patent leather upper. Faint hits of silver, yellow and red are scattered throughout, the latter color used for symbols representing the injector that comes out of the hood. Added branding is more reserved through a small silver-tone metal “F&F” badge at the lateral heel.

The final sneaker falls more in line with the MB.05s, as a silver and blue LaFrance gets a decal recreation for the Skyline and a translucent outsole. On the right tongue, you’ll find a faint print of the “Fast & Furious” logo.

Ball has previously shown love for entertainment and cars through several licensed collaborations with “Rick and Morty,” as well as projects with “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and Porsche.

The “Fast & Furious” x LaMelo Ball x Puma collection will release Feb. 12 through Puma’s website. Pricing runs from $125 to $130.
