Farm Rio is expanding its footwear offering once again with the launch of three new styles.
The Brazilian fashion brand’s new range includes the Farm Rio Sneakers as well as the Farm Rio Monstera Wellie and Clog – all of which are infused in the brand’s signature tropical aesthetic.
For the sneakers, the brand is offering the style in classic black and white, a multicolor version and a neutral brown. On the other hand, the Monstera Wellie and Clog are a tropical spin on the timeless short wellington boot and slip-on shoe style.
Daniele Michetti, designer at Farm Rio, told FN exclusively that the starting point for this new offering was to “design shoes that move in the opposite direction” of the brand’s feminine, printed dresses.
“We loved the tension between sporty and romantic, unexpected but effortless,” Michetti said. “For the lug outsole, we transformed one of our most recognizable icons – the monstera leaf – into a bold, graphic sole. It’s playful and unmistakably Farm Rio.
Michetti noted that from the very beginning, the brand imagined these new shoes styled with socks. “That’s why some colorways are a bit translucent – so you can see through, layer, play, and make styling part of the design,” the designer added. “They’re sporty and rain-ready, designed for wet days, so they are just as perfect for a playful day at the beach. We like pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously.”

This launch comes as the company’s focus remains on “versatility, lifestyle, and self-expression” when it comes to footwear launches.
Looking ahead, Farm Rio noted that it “believes strongly” in the growth of the footwear category as a space for creative expansion.
“Our vision is to develop signature models that evolve season after season through new materialities – from jelly and raffia to leather and velvet – always responding to climate, context, and the spirit of each collection,” the company stated. “Footwear, for Farm, becomes not just an accessory, but a core expression of our universe, rooted in versatility, experimentation, and joy.”
The news comes just months after Farm Rio opened its third New York City store late last summer. Located at 1055 Madison Avenue joins the brand’s other two area locations in SoHo and Brooklyn.
