Fantasy football waiver wire: Three kickers to consider for Week 12

Hello and welcome to the Week 12 kicker waiver wire watch!

Another weekend of NFL action has wrapped up and and don’t look now, but we’re rapidly approaching Thanksgiving and that means the fantasy playoffs are right around the corner. So you better start getting things in order for a postseason run.

We’ll go over some kickers that you should consider scooping off the waiver wire ahead of Week 12 and as always, we’ll classify a waiver add as someone who is rostered in 50% of leagues at the max.

Week 12 byes: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Washington Commanders

Cairo Santos, K, Chicago Bears (25.2%)

The Bears are rolling and their 19-17 victory over the Vikings on Sunday was thanks in large part to Santos, who booted a 48-yarder as time expired to propel them into first place in the NFC North. The veteran did miss a kick in the contest, but he still accounted for 13 points with four made field goals and a PAT, earning 16 fantasy points for managers. In fact, he’s crossed double-digit FP’s in four of his last five outings, so he’s a reliable bet to make a difference for your roster if you grab him.

Week 12 matchup: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 1 p.m. ET

Zane Gonzalez, K, Atlanta Falcons (3.5%)

The Falcons’ season is going down in flames, but they may have at least fixed their kicking woes for the time being. Gonzalez was perfect in Sunday’s 30-27 overtime loss, connecting on three PAT’s and two field goals, the second one coming in the final minute of the fourth quarter to tie the game. The veteran has been perfect in his two games with the team so far and he has a chance to put up more numbers in a controlled environment when facing the lowly Saints in the Superdome this Sunday.

Week 12 matchup: @ New Orleans Saints, 4:25 p.m. ET

Will Reichard, K, Minnesota Vikings (40.9%)

Reichard only generated five fantasy points in the Vikings’ loss to the Bears, but that can be pinned on the offense’s ineptitude with J.J. McCarthy running the show. He’s still been a top-10 fantasy kicker with an average of 9.1 fantasy points per game and Minnesota will have to rely on his leg in the coming weeks if it wants to stay close to the playoff hunt in the NFC. As always, keep an eye out for him on the wire this week.

Week 11 matchup: @ Green Bay Packers, 1 p.m. ET
