It was a good week for standard scoring tight ends, as ten tight ends caught a total of 12 touchdowns, with Mark Andrews and Hunter Henry each grabbing two a piece. Last week we hit nine touchdowns from the position. With more touchdowns, the better our chances in standard leagues, as we rely on that stat when trying to find value at the position.
Likely has been practicing, but just hasn’t gotten the go-ahead to suit up on game day just yet. There’s a chance that happens this week when the Ravens take on the Chiefs.
Ja’Tavion Sanders, Panthers
Sanders suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3 and will miss multiple weeks. Tommy Tremble will take the lead role at tight end, but isn’t going to be a useful fantasy player. Hunter Renfrow could be in line for a good amount of targets against the Patriots this week.
Dissly didn’t practice last week and was unable to play due to a knee injury. Without Dissly, the tight end snaps were split between Oronde Gadsden, Tyler Conklin, and Tucker Fisk. But Gadsden was the obviously preferred target, as he finished with seven, which was second on the team.
Loveland suffered a hip injury against the Cowboys, but has a chance to play this week against the Raiders. If he can’t go, Cole Kmet would get a bump in work, but probably won’t be a fantasy play.
Fant suffered a concussion against the Vikings in Week 3. He’ll need to be cleared before they face the Broncos to be able to play this week.
