Fantasy football rankings: Top 40 standard TEs for Week 7

Week 6 fo the NFL season is like dust in the wind and as it clears, we can look forward to Week 7 tight end rankings for standard scoring! Wooo! But, I always like to take a look back at how the most touchdown dependent position and scoring are treating the overall tight end rankings.

Darren Waller leads in fantasy points per game, as he has four touchdowns in three games played. In just three games out of six total, he still ranks 12th overall in standard scoring. Second in fantasy points per game is Dallas Goedert, who has five touchdowns in five games played. He sits at third overall behind Tyler Warren and Jake Fergusson. Fergie is first in PPR, but Warren gets the crown in standard by a nose hair.

The surprises so far are plentiful, with Harold Fannin, AJ Barner, Jake Tonges, and Hunter Henry all putting up good numbers despite lower expectations. But as we know, tight end touchdowns are fickle, which means getting consistent production for lesser targeted tight ends remains a fool’s errand. Keep going after those guys who consistently see targets over those that find the end zone on low targets.

Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills

Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox

Kittle should be able to practice this week and has a real chance to return from his hamstring injury against the Falcons on SNF. His presence is very much needed by the 49ers both as a blocker and receiver. If they can get Ricky Pearsall and Brock Purdy back as well, they could be cooking with gas.

Bowers’ knee injury finally got the better of him and he had to sit out the last two weeks. At this point I’d expect the team to make sure he is at least close to 100% before bringing him back, as Bowers has not looked like his old self since he suffered the injury. If he can go, he’s always a must start at a weak position.

Njoku injured his knee last week against the Steelers. He did try to play through it, but ultimately couldn’t stay in the game. There’s no word on the extent of the injury at this point, but it seems like a good sign he at least tried to play through it. If he can’t go against Miami next week, Harold Fannin should get a big boost in a good matchup.
