Fanatics Becomes Official NHL Jersey Provider: Release Info

In preparation for the upcoming 2024-25 season, the National Hockey League and Fanatics have launched a new collection of Authentic Pro jerseys at retail, marking the first time in a decade that fans can purchase the jerseys worn by players on the ice. This new offering comes as Fanatics takes over as the official provider of on-ice uniforms for the NHL, a partnership announced last year succeeding Adidas and set to last for the next 10 seasons.

The updated portfolio includes four distinct jersey categories: Authentic Pro, Premium, Breakaway and Practice. Each jersey offers unique features aimed at different consumer preferences, ranging from professional-grade specifications to fan-centric designs.

The Fanatics Authentic Pro is crafted in the same Quebec factory that has produced NHL uniforms for nearly 50 years. Designed with the exact specifications used by players, the Authentic Pro jersey is made from elevated fabrics and includes multilayered tackle twill, 3D embroidery and reinforced stitching in key areas. It also features a new holographic NHL shield on the neck, changing colors when viewed from different angles.

The Fanatics Premium jersey provides same visual design as the Authentic Pro but offers a lighter, more comfortable fit. Meanwhile, the Fanatics Breakaway jersey focuses on comfort and style, with a tailored fit and heat-pressed graphics, available in both men’s and women’s cuts. Lastly, the Fanatics Practice jersey presents a redesigned retail version of the practice uniforms worn by all NHL teams.

In a move to expand beyond its core business of officially licensed merchandise, Fanatics appointed former Nike executive Trevor Edwards to its board in August. This follows the company’s recent growth into trading cards, sports memorabilia, sports betting and, most recently, events. Despite its diversification, licensed merchandise remains Fanatics’ largest business.

Jerseys are available for purchase through the NHL and Fanatics websites and physical retailers in both the U.S. and Canada.
