ESPN announces ‘Inside the NBA’ schedule, and it’s totally random

‘Inside the NBA’ became a cultural phenomenon as TNT’s studio show before and after NBA games over the last 25 years. With TNT cut out of the new NBA broadcasting deal, there was fear that the magic of ‘Inside of the NBA’ would be lost forever until the show was picked up by ESPN. Even Charles Barkley had been in the dark about how ESPN would use the show. Finally, the network has released some details just before the start of the 2025-26 season.

ESPN and ABC will run ‘Inside the NBA’ 20 times during the regular season, according to a press release. The entire cast is set to return with Ernie Johnson and his panelists Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Barkley. ESPN stated that the show will run during the “highest-profile events in the NBA, including the NBA Finals.”

Will the show still have the same chemistry and freedom as it moves from TNT to ESPN? It will be fascinating to watch and find out. Here’s the full ‘Inside the NBA’ schedule on ESPN and ABC for the 2025-26 season, via Richard Deitsch.
