New AI-enhanced counter-drone system integrates cyber, radar, and jamming technologies
D-Fend Solutions has announced the launch of EnforceAir PLUS, a counter-drone system that combines radio frequency (RF) cyber-driven detection and takeover technology with radar detection and optional RF jamming. The system is designed to provide layered protection against unauthorized drones in military and civilian environments.
The launch comes as the counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) industry continues to expand. Lawmakers in the U.S. and abroad are considering wider authority for the use of counter-drone technologies, not only to protect military targets but also critical infrastructure such as airports, stadiums, utilities, and government facilities.
Integrated Cyber, Radar, and Jamming Capabilities
EnforceAir PLUS builds on the company’s existing EnforceAir 2 platform, adding a fusion of RF cyber, radar, and jamming technologies into a compact, unified system. According to the company, this integration enables faster response to drone threats and more accurate situational awareness.
The system includes D-Fend’s RF cyber takeover technology as its foundation, enhanced by auto-calibrated radar detection and a software-defined RF jamming option. The integration is managed through “SmartAir,” a data fusion engine that consolidates cyber and radar inputs to provide a clear picture of each target drone.
Yaniv Benbenisti, President and Chief Product Officer of D-Fend Solutions, explained: “EnforceAir PLUS is the industry’s first cyber-driven, multi-layered C-UAS system, combining RF cyber-takeover, radar detection, and optional RF jamming for a versatile and escalating layered defense. RF cyber technology is the gold standard for precise drone mitigation, offering zero false alarms and highly accurate detection, tracking, and identification. EnforceAir PLUS takes this to the next level by integrating radar and optional jamming for a flexible, multi-layered, escalating defense.”
Expanded Airspace Coverage
The system uses compact multi-panel solid-state radar, including models from providers such as Echodyne, to expand threat detection beyond RF measures. This radar integration is intended to reduce false positives and improve accuracy in airspace monitoring.
The Smart RF-Effector jamming option adds another layer of defense by providing adaptable mitigation in field conditions. According to the company, these combined capabilities allow operators to tailor their responses to different types of threats.
Designed for Ease of Use
EnforceAir PLUS is intended for rapid deployment and minimal training requirements. The system features out-of-the-box integration, automated calibration, and an intuitive user interface. Operators receive a unified display of drone threats, along with automated mitigation suggestions to support decision-making.
The company emphasized that existing EnforceAir users can upgrade to EnforceAir PLUS, maintaining continuity while adding new capabilities.
