Emily in Paris’ Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu Is Pomellato’s New Global Ambassador

GOLD AMBASSADOR: It looks like the appeal of the “Emily in Paris” character Sylvie Grateau comes second only to the one of Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.

The French-Italian actress, who plays the sassy and stylish role in the popular Netflix series, has been named Pomellato’s new global ambassador, in a move that further cements her aura in the eyes of the fashion and luxury industry.

While Lily Collins might have the series’ lead role in the hit show, Leroy-Beaulieu rose quickly to international fame and gained her fair share of social-media followers.

Pomellato’s chief executive officer Sabina Belli defined her as the perfect ambassador for the brand, praising “her sophistication, strength and natural elegance” which mirror the company’s values of female empowerment and authentic beauty. “Like our jewels, she transcends trends to create her own distinctive path,” said the executive of the Kering-owned brand.

“Joining the Pomellato family feels like a natural extension of my own story,” Leroy-Beaulieu said in a statement. “As a French-Italian actress, I’ve always admired how Pomellato combines Italian craftsmanship with contemporary design. Their jewelry speaks to women who aren’t afraid to express their individuality. Each piece tells a story of freedom and creativity – values that have guided my own career choices.”

The partnership launches as Leroy-Beaulieu is busy on different fronts. In addition to gearing up to film season-five of “Emily in Paris,” the actress recently wrapped “100 Days,” a film directed by Academy Award-nominated Carlos Saldanha and based on the true story of Brazilian explorer Amyr Klink, who in 1984 became the first person to cross the South Atlantic in a rowing boat after many had died in the attempt.

The film will add to Leroy-Beaulieu’s career spanning four decades, punctuated by films ranging from 1988’s “The Possessed” in which she played opposite Isabelle Huppert, to the 1996 film “La Belle Verte” starring alongside Marion Cotillard. From her César Award nomination for the 1985 movie “Three Men and a Cradle” to her recent performance in “The Crown” series, Leroy-Beaulieu portrayed complex, independent women. Among her many previous television credits, she is also well known for her role as Catherine Barneville in the critically acclaimed French Netflix series “Call My Agent!”
