AirHub, a European drone operations software company based in The Hague, has closed a €4.4 million Series A funding round. Keen Venture Partners, RunwayFBU, Lumaux, and LUMO Labs backed the round.
The company will use the funding to scale its international team and expand its product portfolio for security, defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure markets.
AirHub Drone Operations Software Platform
AirHub’s core product, the Drone Operations Center, gives teams a single platform to plan missions, operate drones during incidents, and monitor live video streams. The system also manages workflows, compliance, and reporting. The platform embeds drones into day-to-day operations rather than treating them as standalone tools.
Organizations including Dubai Police, the Belgian Federal Police, Dutch Customs, Shell, Boskalis, ProRail, Prosegur, Securitas, and Portuguese Bombeiros already use the drone operations software. Applications span Drone as First Responder programs, incident response, infrastructure inspection, and security monitoring.
“The organizations we work with are dealing with real incidents, real threats, real pressure,” said Stephan van Vuren, co-CEO and co-Founder of AirHub. “They need software that works when it matters most. That is what drives everything we build.”
Expanding Into Defense and Counter-Drone Markets
AirHub plans to expand its portfolio with two new products. MilHub targets defense-related operational environments. SecHub addresses broader security operations and includes a counter-drone capability for detecting, managing, and responding to drone-related threats.
“This funding helps us accelerate AirHub’s growth as a European software company serving organizations that operate in high-stakes environments,” said Thomas Brinkman, co-CEO and co-Founder of AirHub. “We see a clear need for trusted software that helps teams execute drone missions securely, effectively and at scale, while strengthening Europe’s ability to rely on its own technology in critical operations.”
Investor Group Aligned With Defense and Infrastructure
Keen Venture Partners brings experience in European defense, security, and dual-use technology. Its €200M European Defence Space & Security Fund is Europe’s first dedicated defense fund. RunwayFBU, backed by Norway’s Aker Group, adds a network in critical infrastructure, industrial environments, and robotics. Existing investors Lumaux and LUMO Labs continue their support.
“As Europe increases its focus on resilience, security and technological autonomy, AirHub is well positioned to become an important software player in this space,” said Giuseppe Lacerenza, Partner at Keen Venture Partners.
