Doechii brightened up the Louvre on Tuesday. Among the many guests at the Paris museum’s first Grand Fashion Dinner, the singer commanded attention in a dramatic ballgown. The eye-catching frock was covered in intricate embellishments and featured a full skirt spread wide at the bottom. She was styled by Sam Woolf.
Doechii’s dress was part of Valentino’s spring 2025 couture collection, which was titled “Vertigineux” and marked the debut of Alessandro Michele as the brand’s creative director.

“Each dress is not just an object, it’s rather the knot of a net of significance: a living cartography that keeps traces of visual and symbolic memories,” the designer described the collection in his notes.
WWD’s Paris bureau chief Joelle Diderich described the collection as “couture for the metaverse era.” “Historical references like pannier skirts, ruff collars, tapestry florals and billowing sleeves were mashed up with precious embroideries that conjured a mix of samurai armor, flapper dresses and commedia dell’arte characters,” Diderich wrote in January.

Doechii has quickly risen as a new fashion darling. On Feb. 25, she opened the Dsquared2 fall 2025 runway during Milan Fashion Week. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, she made headlines in a lace-up Thom Browne gown. She has also been invited to sit front row at shows from Luar, Tommy Hilfiger, Area and Off-White.

Louvre’s Grand Fashion Dinner celebrates the “Louvre Couture: Art and Fashion — Statement Pieces” exhibit, which explores how precious objects from Byzantine times through to the Second French Empire have inspired designers over the years. The exhibition features 66 outfits and 30 accessories, all displayed alongside items from the Louvre’s permanent collection of decorative objects.
