New Model Offers Fast Charging and Versatile Power Solutions for Home, Travel, and Content Creation
DJI, a global leader in drone and camera technology, has announced the release of the DJI Power 2000 Portable Power Station. This new product aims to meet the growing need for reliable, portable energy for a wide range of users, from homeowners to outdoor enthusiasts and content creators.
Meeting Modern Power Demands
The DJI Power 2000 stands out with its 2048Wh capacity in a compact 32.6-liter body. At just 16 inches long, it fits easily in cars, RVs, or small storage spaces at home. The device can expand up to 22,528Wh with additional batteries, making it suitable for both short trips and extended power outages.
Christina Zhang, Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at DJI, explained the motivation behind the new model:
“We first launched our DJI Power Series just over a year ago to meet the energy demands of users around the world who have increasingly turned to DJI equipment. Whether powering outdoor adventures, providing critical backup during unexpected outages, or supporting content productions, users have demonstrated the limitless possibilities Power Series can offer. Seeing increased power demand for various scenarios, we’ve developed this higher-capacity model to meet user needs. This new addition is testament to our commitment of expanding the Power Series to let users get on with important tasks and experiences while our products take care of power needs.”
Ferdinand Wolf, Product Experience Director at DJI, added:
“Whether used in a home or outdoor environment, our new Power 2000 and associated accessories have been designed to meet demanding power needs. We’ve increased the capacity while optimizing the size-capacity ratio and safety design to ensure users’ energy concerns are a thing of the past. We look forward to seeing the unique ways our community will leverage this powerful new solution.”
Features and Capabilities
High Output and Versatile Ports
The Power 2000 can deliver a continuous 3000W output, enough to run more than 99% of household appliances. It includes four AC outlets, four USB-C ports, and four USB-A ports, allowing users to charge multiple devices at once. This makes it a strong choice for both home backup and on-the-go needs.
Fast and Flexible Charging
Users can recharge the Power 2000 in several ways:
-
Grid Power: Recharges to 80% in just 55 minutes and fully charges in 90 minutes.
-
Solar Power: With up to 1800W of solar input, it can fully recharge in 75 minutes.
-
Car Power: Using the car’s alternator, it charges in about 145 minutes.
-
Hybrid Charging: Combines grid and solar or car power for efficient, eco-friendly charging.
The device also features an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) mode. In case of a power outage, it switches to battery power in just 0.01 seconds, keeping connected devices running without interruption.
Quiet and Safe Operation
The Power 2000 operates at less than 30dB in standard mode, quieter than most home refrigerators. Safety is a priority, with a lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) battery that lasts up to 4,000 cycles—about ten years of daily use. It includes 26 temperature sensors and 21 fuses for advanced protection. The unit is also built from flame-retardant materials and can withstand up to one ton of static pressure.
Remote Control and Accessories
The new DJI Home app allows users to monitor and control the Power 2000 and its accessories remotely. The app’s interface is simple and user-friendly, offering real-time updates and parameter adjustments.
DJI also offers a range of accessories, including expansion batteries, a hand truck for transport, and fast chargers for both cars and solar panels. These options give users flexibility for different power needs and scenarios.
Practical Uses
The Power 2000 is designed for many applications, such as:
-
Home Backup: Runs appliances like refrigerators for up to 40 hours and lights for 180 hours.
-
Camping and Road Trips: Charges phones, laptops, and even powers electric fans or projectors.
-
Content Creation: Supports equipment like cameras, drones, and lighting gear on location.
-
DIY Projects: Powers tools like chainsaws and power saws for extended periods.
