Dior Unveils Jonathan Anderson’s First Coed Campaign With Star Cast

PARISDior on Friday unveiled its first coed advertising campaign to coincide with the arrival in stores of the debut collections designed by Jonathan Anderson, the first creative director to helm both its women’s and men’s divisions.

The naturalistic images, shot by David Sims, feature actress Greta Lee; footballer Kylian Mbappé; actor and director Louis Garrel, and newly minted brand ambassador Paul Kircher, a rising French actor. Rounding out the cast are models Sunday Rose, the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban; Laura Kaiser, and Saar Mansvelt Beck.

Marking a departure from the polished aura of Dior campaigns in recent years, the spring ads represent the most visible change in visual identity since Anderson was confirmed last June as Dior’s eighth couturier, and will ripple down into store displays and merchandising across flagships and dedicated pop-ups.

“The Dior clique appears to embrace a liberated sense of style, willing to play with clothing and accessories,” the brand said in a statement shared exclusively with WWD.

“Style is how these individuals conduct themselves: the intuitive sense they have when their appearance feels right, and how they dress up each day to become a new character,” it added.

The photos, both in color and black-and-white, function as a visual shorthand for the shared codes that Anderson established in his first shows for men in June and women in October.

These range from his fresh takes on wardrobe staples like denim and knitwear, to more formal items like lace evening gowns, and stiff collars and ties that riff on Christian Dior’s obsession with the 18th century.

“As we go through my time at Dior, there is this idea of how the men’s and the woman’s will interact with each other,” Anderson told WWD recently. “I want people to be transversal within the store. It’s about playing with clothing.”

New Faces

It marks only the second major campaign for Sunday Rose since she made her runway debut at Miu Miu in October 2024. The 17-year-old walked in the Dior show in October, and appeared in the brand’s pre-fall 2026 look book alongside Kaiser and Mansvelt Beck.

In the spring campaign, the three are pictured lounging together and separately on a Louis XVI-style settee, or dressed in sheer evening gowns and an array of shoes decorated with bows, which Anderson is making a key brand signature.

In another shot, Lee is pictured trying on a pair of black slingback shoes next to a row of feminine footwear designed by Dior’s new design director of shoes, Nina Christen, who channeled the spirit of vintage Roger Vivier creations for Dior.

Named as a Dior brand ambassador in September, the American actress has worn the label on the red carpet at events including the Venice Film Festival and the world premiere of “Tron: Ares.”

Paul Kircher

Meanwhile, Kircher, known for his critically acclaimed performances in “Winter Boy” and “And Their Children After Them,” is pictured in the campaign wearing key pieces that reference the Dior archives. They include a version of the signature Bar jacket in forest green Donegal tweed, and cargo shorts with deep pleats inspired by the 1948 Delft dress.

The curly haired actor, wearing a black eye mask, strikes a sensual note in an everyday look that pairs a striped blue shirt and faded jeans with a knitted cape.

“I love these images of Paul — they perfectly capture the Dior I’ve been dreaming toward: elegant yet youthful, infused with a fresh sense of modernity,” Anderson said of the 24-year-old.

“He’s an incredible young talent who has an innate sense of style and charm and who, from our very first meeting, I knew was the perfect representation of the Dior man today,” added the designer, who’s known for his eclectic choice of celebrity ambassadors.

Kircher’s nomination signals that Anderson is ready to pad out the ranks of his men’s ambassadors following a rash of appointments on the women’s side. Since the designer’s arrival, Dior has welcomed Lee, Mikey Madison, Mia Goth, Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat, and 070 Shake as new faces.

Accessories Galore

Mbappé, a Dior ambassador since 2021, projects a grounded glamour in looks ranging from a sweater and jeans to a tuxedo. The Real Madrid player is seen lounging in a hotel room and posing under a 1928 portrait of Christian Dior by Paul Strecker.

“Kylian has this rare ability to make strength feel gentle, and David captures that with a precision that feels almost intimate. Kylian’s humility brings a softness to every frame. You see these images and there’s this instinctive desire not just to understand him, but, for a moment, to become him,” Anderson enthused.

Garrel, sporting a five-day beard, brings a Gallic nonchalance to looks as varied as a classic gray flannel suit and an apple-green knitted cape.

“It’s a dream to have Louis in this campaign. He has that effortless French charm — timeless, but entirely contemporary. These images feel like a chance encounter, something you might experience in a corridor at a party, a moment that lingers long after,” Anderson said.

The campaign also includes still lives of some of the key accessories hitting store shelves as part of the first drop — displayed next to fruit, including a bowl of cherries and a half-peeled orange.

Among the accessories are fresh takes on the Lady Dior; the Bow; Book Tote bags embroidered with the covers of literary classics such as Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” and the Normandie for men.

The campaign also teases other women’s styles in the pipeline, such as the Cigale, Crunchy and Diorly bags, as well as Anderson’s collaboration with artist Sheila Hicks on a Lady Dior bag covered in red tassels.

Shoes available from Friday include the Initials, Aurore, Bow, Muse and Bloom for women, and the Roadie, Saltwind and Archi for men, alongside a selection of women’s and men’s rtw.

The campaign was styled by Benjamin Bruno, who previously worked with Anderson during his 11-year tenure as creative director of Loewe. Yadim Carranza did the makeup and Guido Palau the hair, except for Mbappé, who was made up by Luna Betsch, with Palau and Brice Tchaga on hair.
