Valentine’s Day already happened, but falling in love has been on Greek designer Dimitra Petsa’s mind for fall 2025.
She left love notes all over her collection: smudges of lipstick and handwritten scribbles on angelic white trousers; frothy lace panels on liquid silk dresses; and pearl necklaces doubling as harnesses with two-piece leather outfits scrunched on the body.
Petsa has been writing a book about female desire. “[I wanted to question] where desire comes from and it’s through desire that we connect closer to our divinity and to God. It’s also about the idea that sexuality and spirituality can be one thing,” she said.
She had many mystical creatures in her show. A Hercules figure with silver body armor and beaded sword; an angel with heart-shaped wings carrying a single red rose, and a bride escorted by five hunky men in lace white underwear.
This season, the designer expanded her menswear offer for lover boys: Ivory poets shirts with long collars; dark chocolate abayas, and boxy blazers with slits and lace detailing.
“Naturally, I have a male clientele and I need to respond to the demand,” she said.
Petsa added that she’s filling a gap in the menswear market. “There’s no God-dressing for men. You don’t see men stepping into their godliness or their divinity,” she explained.
Petsa said she seems protected by the powers above, as she hasn’t faced too many challenges in business. “It’s not just about buying our clothes – people come to our workshops that we offer and they can buy my book,” she said.
