Demna presented his debut Gucci runway collection during Milan Fashion Week on Friday, with Kate Moss, Emily Ratajkowski, Alex Consani, Vivian Wilson and more models showcasing an array of looks complemented by a range of shoe styles — stiletto heels and the signature horsebit were among the statement-making footwear details.

Fierce pointed pumps made up a significant portion of the footwear. With a sharp toe and towering stiletto heel, the style could be found with a horsebit adornment on the vamp, or amped up in glittering gold to match a floor-length long-sleeve gown worn by Consani.
Demi Moore, sitting front row with a wet bob look as one of many celebrity attendees, happened to be wearing a black horsebit pump style.

The high heel and horsebit combo could also be found as part of a glossy reptilian knee-high boot. The stiletto heel appeared even taller with a minimalist platform mule style with an upper consisting of just a simple toe strap.

A somewhat futuristic sneaker-boot hybrid came down the runway as well, with a prominent wide toe, pull straps at the ankle and a unique overlapping upper, presented in shiny red and white iterations with a reptilian-esque pattern, in addition to a version with the signature GG monogram print.

The classic horsebit loafer, Gucci’s calling card, was reinterpreted with fur in an easygoing mule style. Meanwhile, a slim loafer with a narrow toe brought intrigue to the runway as well. And some models simply wore no shoes at all.

The footwear on display complemented lots of body-con outfits, from a sparkly silver scoop neck minidress on Emily Ratajkowski to Amelia Gray Hamlin in a simple fitted white top and tight black pants. There were also loose floral dresses, tight and slouchy leather garments, statement fur coats and plenty of sparkling or lustrous looks.
Demna unveiled “La Famiglia” and pre-fall collections last year, but this marks his first official collection for the brand, which he joined as artistic director in 2025 after his run at Balenciaga.
