Dave Bautista made a dazzling arrival when he walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday for his latest film, “The Last Showgirl.” The wrestler-turned-actor, popularly known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” embraced a tailored silhouette, thanks to his role as the soft-hearted Vegas show producer, Eddie, in the Pamela Anderson-starring film.
Bautista wore the Gucci GG Cotton Viscose Formal Suit and Pant in black while walking the red carpet. Featuring a blend of cotton and viscose, the suit, which Bautista previously sported in July during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” offers a subtle sheen and allover logo. He finished the look with a dark gray, boat-necked shirt underneath the jacket, and shiny black dress shoes.
He paired the breathable suit with a slew of accessories. He wore Gucci sunglasses and layered four strings of pearls around his neck. The strands also featured sections of three diamonds, offering a shimmering touch to the pearlescent sheen.
He also wore a silver watch on one wrist and a gold diamond-encrusted bracelet from Jason of Beverly Hills on the other, who Bautista has also worked with previously. He layered this gold bracelet with an identical one in silver.
Bautista has favored Gucci for quite some time, particularly the brand’s patterned jackets. He wore a cream-colored version for the premiere of “Dune: Part Two” in February. On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last month, he wore the Gucci Horsebit wool silk jacquard jacket from the cruise 2024 collection in burgundy. As he’s promoted both “The Last Showgirl” and “The Killer’s Game,” throughout the summer, he’s been spotted wearing the brand’s metallic jacquard cotton-blend cardigan.
Bautista’s costars Pamela Anderson, Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song also opted for all-black ensembles. Anderson deconstructed the Rat Pack’s Sin City glamour in a black suit with feminine twists, complete with pointed-toe heels.
Jamie Lee Curtis added a pop of Vegas-curtain red with her sheer, long-sleeved blouse tucked into a black pencil skirt.
Shipka, who plays one of Anderson’s proteges in the film, also keeps the showgirl theme alive with a black halterneck dress from the Elle Saab Resort 2025 collection, featuring a crocheted bodice and open back.
Song, who plays one of Anderson’s “girls” alongside Shipka, wore a floor-length dress with laser cutouts on each hip. Necklace-like crystals affixed to the bodice offered some showgirl shine to the ensemble.
“The Last Showgirl,” directed by Gia Coppola, follows a veteran Las Vegas showgirl facing dramatic life changes after her show closes unexpectedly after 30 years.
