Daniel Roseberry Puts Realistic Cat Head Heels on Schiaparelli Runway

Daniel Roseberry took Schiaparelli‘s trompe-l’oeil theme to another level on Friday during Paris Fashion Week with a fall 2026 collection that included quirky cat-head heels.

The feline-themed shoes — beige leather pumps with a pony-effect finish — include a curved heel and an unmissable hand-sculpted cat face on the toe. The teeth-baring lifelike cat head even has whiskers.

The shoes were paired with a bustier in black-and-brown corset toile with several jersey layers, in addition to a straight black velvet skirt with a sheer tulle stripe exposing the hips. The look was finished with a thin back patent leather belt with a golden buckle.

Roseberry’s notes on the collection explained that the house’s namesake figured prominently into the collection. “Elsa’s love for the natural world finds new and expanded life in this collection, from the ‘fur’-trimmed jewelry (while an allusion to her love of monkey fur, ours is actually made with thin sprigs of shearling) to our new dog-and-cat shoes and clutches (no pets were harmed in the making of these; they’re rendered from resin and felt) to our expanded anatomy hardware, most notably the cast-bronze egret feet you’ll see at the bottom of some of our new shearling bags.”

Additional styles featured in the show included satin mules and ombré leather pumps with the brand’s signature keyhole symbol, thigh-high velvet boots and slouchy satin boots, to name a few. The brand made use of gold ring-style anatomical totem heels and sculptural heels inspired by bird claws as well.

In a review for WWD, Joelle Diderich wrote, “Among his feral accessories were handbags sprouting gilded bird claws, and mule heels that looked like hissing kittens, rendered in resin and felt — to scarily realistic effect.”
