The Chicago Bears travel to face the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in Week 15 and should have a key weapon available to them. Running back D’Andre Swift has been announced as questionable for the game, but he’ll likely play through a groin injury. The game is part of an MNF doubleheader and kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
D’Andre Swift injury update
Swift sat out practice on Thursday and Friday, but then got in a limited session on Saturday. He suffered the groin injury in Week 11 and has missed some amount of practice each of the past three weeks. Last week, he was also a DNP for the first two practices and limited for the third practice. He has played each week with this injury.
D’Andre Swift fantasy football impact
Swift and the Bears face a tough Vikings defense in Week 15. Minnesota currently gives up the third fewest fantasy points against opposing running backs, per Yahoo! Fantasy Football. Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier put together a strong week in last week’s shootout, combining for 31.4 points out of the backfield. When the Bears and Vikings played in Week 12, Swift and Roschon Johnson combined for 15.7 fantasy points, with Swift securing eight points on 30 rushing yards and three receptions for 35 receiving yards.
If Swift plays, he is in line for a big workload due to other injuries. Johnson has been ruled out due to a concussion. That leaves Travis Homer and Darrynton Evans available behind Swift.
