Dalton Kincaid injury update: How to handle the Bills TE vs. Bengals in Week 14

The 8-4 Buffalo Bills host the 4-8 Cincinnati Bengals to Orchard Park this Sunday as 5.5-point favorites. Josh Allen and company have needed someone to step up as a pass catcher of late, especially with tight end Dalton Kincaid out. They tried Gabe Davis, which failed as you would expect, so now they are hoping Kincaid can step up now that he is close to returning from a hamstring injury.

Unfortunately, Kincaid still isn’t out of the woods yet, and has a knee injury tacked onto his list of ailments. He is officially questionable for this matchup.

Dalton Kincaid injury updates

Game status update: Dalton Kincaid is ACTIVE for Week 14.

Game day update: Dalton Kincaid “is going to try to play” in Week 14, per Ian Rapoport. He will need to look good in warmups to be sure.

Kincaid returned to practice last week with two limited practices, but eventually wasn’t able to go despite the questionable tag. This week Kincaid was able to practice every day, but wasn’t able to get a full practice in and is officially questionable to play. But, last week he was only listed with a hamstring injury, this week they’ve added a knee injury into the mix. At this point he looks to be truly questionable to play.

Fantasy football analysis

The Bengals have been by far the worst team at keeping tight ends from scoring fantasy points this season. They do well on the perimeter, but the middle of the field is not well defended. If Kincaid can’t play, Khalil Shakir and Dawson Knox would seem to benefit the most. If he can play, he’s worth a start based on how good the matchup is.
