The 9-5 Philadelphia Eagles head to Landover, Maryland to take on the 4-10 Washington Commanders as 6.5-point favorites. The Eagles still have something to play for, as they are currently the No. 3 seed and they haven’t officially landed a playoff spot yet.
Last week they smashed the Raiders in a cathartic easy win and they have a chance to do the same this week against a weak, but likely feistier, Commanders team. Last week Dallas Goedert was the fantasy stud for the Eagles, as he scored twice and led the team in receiving by a wide margin. Of course, expecting back-to-back huge games from Goedert is expecting something that doesn’t happen often.
Below, we’ll go over Dallas Goedert’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 16.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles, TE, Dallas Goedert
I whiffed on Goedert last week, which is often the way with tight ends. I overthought things though. Top tight ends, besides Trey McBride, are going to be inconsistent and trying to pinpoint their big games based on matchups is fraught with error. Goedert falls into the must-start category unless you have two stud tight ends to choose from. And maybe the Eagles have seen the light with Goedert and after two strong games, his usage could be expanding as they work to get their offense going consistently.
