ColourPop Cosmetics, known for its playful and trend-forward approach to beauty, teased fans with a surprising announcement on Tuesday: a Fresh Kiss Glossy Lip Balm in Dill Pickle flavor. The brand described the imaginary product as a “briny, tangy, crunchy” lip balm with a sheer green tint that promised hydration, shine and a hint of color with “a little bite.” However, the announcement was quickly revealed to be an April Fools’ joke.

The prank was part of ColourPop’s playful engagement with its audience. While the Dill Pickle lip balm won’t be hitting shelves, ColourPop is using the opportunity to highlight its actual lineup of Fresh Kiss Glossy Lip Balms, available in eight real flavors inspired by viral luxury lip balms.
