Actors Colman Domingo and Christopher Abbott and singer Aidan Bissett front the fall ad campaign of fashion retailer Cos, which also features model and actor Mariacarla Boscono, who closed the brand’s spring runway show in Rome, and model Rianne Van Rompaey. Other faces in the campaign include models Taemin Park, Dara Gueye, Awar Odhiang and Chu Wong.
The campaign highlights Cos’ signature aesthetic, which focuses on nature with a neutral color palette injected with richer burgundy shades. In womenswear, the ads show a trouser suit with an angular blazer and straight-leg pant alongside a Responsible Wool Standard-certified hooded top and leather skirt. Loose-fitting leather, wool and denim pants are heightened with leather shirting or fine-gauge knits. Accessories featured include leather boots, loafers and buckled sandals as well as fringed or quilted clutch handbags.
In menswear, a wool herringbone coat goes from day to evening, while the collection also includes lots of layering; loose-fitting suits and textured knitwear, which contrasts with tailored shirts. Trousers are fluid and worn with oversized leather jackets. The lineup also includes woven leather accessories, neckties and winter scarves.
The ads were photographed in Milan by Karim Sadli with styling by Jane How. Hair was by Anthony Turner and makeup by Christelle Cocquet.
The London-based Cos is part of H&M and was launched in 2007. Since then it has expanded globally with stores in Europe, Asia Pacific, North America and the Middle East.
As reported, Cos will return to New York Fashion Week with a show on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. that also will be livestreamed. The show will feature the fall 2024 mainline and Atelier collections and will mark the third time Cos has taken part in New York Fashion Week.
“New York is a dynamic city with so much character — it’s a place of inspiration, full of interesting and creative people. We are honored to return for our third year, bringing the collections to life on the runway at an exciting new location,” said Karin Gustafson, design director of Cos, said last month when the brand revealed it was returning to NYFW.
