College World Series: Full schedule, TV info, bracket, odds

The College World Series is the culmination of four months’ worth of competition in college baseball, leaving eight teams left to battle it out in Omaha, Nebraska for the NCAA title.

Held in this Midwest city since 1950, this will be the 75th edition of the event. There was no event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic This year’s CWS will feature one of the most diverse group of teams ever. For the first time since the NCAA Baseball Tournament field expanded in 1999 — adding Regionals and Super Regional rounds leading up to the CWS — there has not been a team in the field who appeared in last year’s series.

This year’s field includes Arizona, Arkansas, Coastal Carolina, Louisville, LSU, Murray State, Oregon State and UCLA. Murray State is making its first trip to Omaha in program history. Combined this group has won 16 national titles, LSU leading the way with seven (most recently in 2022) followed by Arizona with four (last in 2012) and Oregon State with three (last in 2018).

The SEC is the only conference with multiple qualifiers, sending Arkansas and LSU, though the former Pac-12 Conference has three of its alumni in Arizona, Oregon State and UCLA.

The CWS field is broken up into two 4-team brackets, which each play a double-elimination tournament to send its winner to the championship series, which is best-of-3.

First games are Friday, June 13 and the champion will crowned either June 22 or June 23.
