Coco Jones Wears Cutout Bodycon Dress on ‘Jennifer Hudson’

Coco Jones put a sultry spin on the midi dress during her appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” on Friday in Burbank, Calif. The Grammy Award-winning artist chatted with the eponymous talk show host about her new single, “Taste,” which released on Friday.

For her daytime talk show appearance, Jones opted for a sandy toned body-con dress with cutouts on the bodice. The dress featured a midi length, with slight slits at the side.

At the waist of Jones’ dress were cutouts and two bands of fabric connecting the bodice to the skirt. The sleeveless dress also included a high neckline and a clean color without any fabric ruching or extra elements.

The dress served as the ideal base for the singer to add several pieces of jewelry and accessorize her look. Jones added layers of gold necklaces, including a long pendant necklace and shorter jewelry pieces for added variation. She also wore a few dainty rings and a pair of gold statement earrings to complement the warm tone of her dress.

During her time on the daytime talk show, Jones teased her latest single “Taste.” The song released on Friday, in tandem with the singer’s appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” A former Disney Channel star, Jones has released five studio albums, her most recent, “What I Didn’t Tell You,” debuting in 2022. Over the course of her career thus far, she’s earned seven Grammy Award nominations and one win.

Apart from her musical endeavors, however, Jones has made several red carpet appearances over the course of the last several months. While attending the 2025 Grammy Awards — at which the singer was nominated for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song — Jones styled another cutout dress courtesy of Defaïence.

The custom dress featured a one-shoulder bodice with a statement gold clasp. Another strap wrapped diagonally across her mid-drift, displaying another gold clasp. The third matching gold clasp sat at the top of the dress’ high slit on the right side, and the skirt flowed down into a train.
