Ciara, Taylor Momsen, Wear Boots for Thanksgiving Day Parade Rehearsal

Preparations for the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade are well underway and on Tuesday in New York, stars like Ciara, Jewel, Taylor Momsen, Lainey Wilson, and more, were spotted on the city streets rehearsing for their performances that will take place on Thursday.

The holiday week has proven to be a rainy one in New York, so the stars pulled out their most trusted boots to keep warm and dry as they arrived for rehearsals. The celebrities stepped out in boots from brands like Uggs, Rick Owens, R13 and more, which added to their casual and weather-appropriate ensembles. Take a look at what the stars wore to rehearsals.

Ciara kept warm thanks to a pair of Uggs. She opted for the Classic Tall II Boot in all black, which retails for $220. While the boots are made with sheepskin on the upper, they are water resistant because of a topically applied water-repellency treatment, which made them ideal for the inclement weather.

The boots feature an overlock stitch detailing on seams, a suede heel counter with the Ugg logo on it,
sheepskin lining, a sheepskin insole and a lightweight sole to increase cushioning and traction. The “Low” singer paired the boots with a black and white Balenciaga Soccer oversize puffer jacket and black leggings.

Taylor Momsen arrived on the scene wearing her go-to pair of platform combat boots. She opted for one of her tried and true styles, pulling on the R13 Medium Jump Boot in black for the rehearsals. The handmade leather combat boot features a lightweight stacked sole for comfort. The boot features a heel measuring around four inches, a platform measuring 2.5 inches and a calf-high shaft measuring nine inches.

The lace-up boot features a silver zipper closure on side, the brand’s signature orange stitching around the sole, and an ecru embroidered pull tab on the back of the shank. Momsen paired her boots with tall socks and sheer black fishnet tights and an oversize black rain coat. The boots retail for $1,575.

Like Momsen, Lainey Wilson also kept it consistent with her boots. She opted for a pair of red cowboy boots that she wore under a pair of wide-leg pants. The jeans concealed most of the boots, aside from the front of the foot which revealed a slightly squared, pointed toe design, like traditional cowboy boots.

The country singer matched the boots to her red, belted wrap coat, which had a white fur trim along the lapels and collar. She wore icy blue jeans with a luminous sheen finish and completed the look with a white cowboy hat that tied it all together.

Jewel was also on hand to rehearse. She arrived at rehearsals wearing a pair of Rick Owens’ Concordians Runway Factory Boots. The midcalf boots are crafted in Italy and made with black nubuck leather. The pair balances atop an sculpted, angular platform sole, measuring five-and-a-half inches. The boots are made with a slanting heel and an inclined toe platform.

The soles also feature a ridged, shark-tooth design on the bottom. The square-toe boots come with pull tabs on the back for easy on and off. The shoes are from the Rick Owens fall 2025 collection and retail on the designer’s website for $3,210.

Colbie Caillat arrived to rehearse for her performance that she will be doing alongside Gavin DeGraw. The singer was dressed in a festive, Thanksgiving dinner-inspired look, going for an all-brown look down to her shoes. She opted for a pair of knee-high boots in a brown leather shade.

The boots featured a loose fit around the shaft with a zipper enclosure, a round toe design and a black sole and slight block heel. She wore a brown belted coat and paired it with a brown sweater and skirt look that she matched with sheer tights.

While the stars had to dress for the rain during rehearsals, there is no rain on the forecast so far for Thursday. Fans can expect more performances from Kool & The Gang, Cynthia Erivo, Lil Jon Busta Rhymes, Christopher Jackson, Shaggy, Teyana Taylor and more. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones on NBC and is also available to stream on Peacock and an encore broadcast will start at 2 p.m. EST.
