Ciara embraced the white-hot trend down to her sneakers to ring in 2026, performing in crisp Air Force 1s as part of “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

The musician, who performed a medley of her hit songs after the ball dropped in Times Square, went with a classic Nike sneaker choice in a high-top iteration with an ankle strap. The popular shoe style dates back to 1982 when the athletic brand introduced it as a high-top basketball sneaker.
Ciara’s shoes accompanied flared pants with ruching at the bottom and a layered top look including a long sleeve and a loose cropped shirt. The outfit included plenty of jazzy silver detailing as well, including corsetry lacing at the pants and a strappy belt-like feature with studs.

Ciara and her family are fans of Nike — she and children Future Zahir and Sienna Princess Wilson all wore styles from the brand when celebrating the launch of the musician’s album “Cici” in August, with the singer wearing the Air VaporMax Plus in Triple Red. In another moment of support for the Nike Inc. family, the “1, 2 Step” singer wore pink Converse sneakers on the “Greg Street Show” the same month.

In addition to her sneaker moments, Ciara showcased a number of other striking shoe looks in 2025, from strappy Saint Laurent sandals to pink sherpa Azalea Wang boots to platform R13 lace-up boots.
