LONDON — Cate Blanchett wore a Givenchy dress to the 2025 Fashion Awards in London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday night.
The “Black Bag” star kept accessories to a minimum, pairing the black and white floor-length gown with a pair of silver earrings and a black bra peeking out.
The look came from Givenchy’s spring 2026 runway, creative director Sarah Burton’s sophomore show. The collection celebrated powerful femininity, reimagining sartorial staples through a feminine lens.
It saw Burton “bring more of a sexual pulse to the expert tailoring and dressmaking of her dazzling debut via sheer fabrics, peeling and stand-away necklines, short hems, slit skirts and bra tops galore,” as WWD’s Miles Socha noted in his review.
Rooney Mara, who was also in attendance at the event, was spotted giving Blanchett a hug on the blue carpet. She, too, sported a look from Givenchy’s October show, a pale pink satin dress with an explosion of fabric along the back.

This isn’t the first time Blanchett has supported Burton’s Givenchy. In May, she sported a leather look from the brand’s fall 2025 collection to the “Black Bag” premiere in New York. Featuring a V-neckline and zipper detailing, Blanchett paired her outfit with a pair of square-toe patent leather boots, a statement ring, and a pair of spiked stud earrings.
Blanchett is known for her red carpet style, and has collaborated with luxury brands including Louis Vuitton and Giorgio Armani. Building on those past partnerships, in August she was announced as a Uniqlo global brand ambassador. In her new role, she will work with Uniqlo on the LifeWear collection, which supports humanitarian efforts worldwide.
