Brooks Running is making notable executive moves.
On Thursday, the Seattle-based athletic brand promoted Carson Caprara to chief product officer and elevated chief marketing officer Melanie Allen’s responsibilities. Brooks has also promoted Mike Billish to the newly created role of senior vice president and general manager of the Americas.
The company noted that the moves are part of a “strategic evolution” of its global and regional business structure in an effort to reinforce the brand’s “commitment to global growth, innovation, and disciplined execution as it continues to scale worldwide.”
Caprara is a 21-year veteran of Brooks and most recently served as the company’s senior vice president of footwear and apparel. Over the years at the company, he held roles like vice president of footwear product management, senior footwear product line manager and national sales support manager. He got his start at Brooks in 2005.
Dan Sheridan, chief executive officer of Brooks, said in a statement that Caprara brings “exceptional clarity” to how product vision becomes meaningful performance for runners.
“Elevating this role reflects both the scale of our ambition and the strength of Carson’s leadership as we expand our product lines and accelerate our global growth,” Sheridan noted.
As for Allen, her expanded role will focus on long‑term strategic foresight, global consumer insight, and elevating branded experiences across Brooks’ digital and physical touchpoints worldwide. Allen, who has been the company’s chief marketing officer for over 8 years, joined Brooks in 2017 from Starbucks, where she most recently served as vice president of marketing.
Billish’s new position is aimed at driving growth across the United States, Canada and Latin America. Billish, who has been with Brooks for over 23 years, will now oversee the Americas business across wholesale, direct, marketing, and retail, aligning commercial execution and regional decision‑making under a single leader, the company said.
“These moves ensure the right leaders are focused on the right time horizons,” Sheridan added. “By strengthening both our global leadership and our North America operating model, we’re positioning Brooks to win today — and scale for the future.”
This leadership evolution comes one month after Brooks named former New Balance and Sorel executive Claire Wood as vice president of footwear product strategy.
In her new role, Wood will lead Brooks’ footwear product line management, merchandising, and product marketing teams with the goal of elevating how the brand connects long-term vision to product creation and go-to-market strategy, the company said.
In February, Brooks Running its ninth consecutive year of growth in 2025 in its latest earnings report, with sales increasing 16 percent year-over-year. The private company did not disclose dollar amounts in its latest report.
By region, Brooks noted that North America saw 13 percent growth in 2025, while in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) grew 22 percent, and Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) jumped 66 percent last year. China sales increased a whopping 245 percent, Brooks added.
