The Paralympic Games are just around the corner and when they arrive the United States will be rather grateful for Brenna Huckaby.
Already a three-time gold medalist, Huckaby is headed to Cortina d’Ampezzo and looking to add to that number. She has one of the best attitudes that you will find for any human being in general, let alone a world-class athlete, and it was on display recently when she caught up with SB Nation ahead of a busy time for her.
Huckaby’s story is one that people all over the world have gotten to witness throughout her extremely successful snowboarding career. She is a champion off the course in many respects as she advocates for mental health and awareness. Like a lot of people she has a circle that she relies on for support, one that includes her cat Mouse. Yes, Mouse!
Nulo is helping Brenna and her family make sure that Mouse is taken care of during one of the biggest stretches of her life, but Mouse’s role in Brenna’s life is what is helping her be ready for it on top of it all.
Snowboarding is not for the faint of heart and Brenna is proof of that. She has attacked her Paralympic career with the type of attitude that the great athletes of our time have to have, and it stands to reason that it will help propel her to higher heights and more success come January.
