In the midst of all the New York Fashion Week action, the Toronto International Film Festival is having its fair share of major style moments. Over the weekend, Gia Coppola’s new film “The Last Showgirl” had its premiere, and is already earning rave reviews. The film stars Pamela Anderson as a longtime Las Vegas showgirl named Shelley, who is told that the show she leads will close permanently in two weeks. The film also stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Brenda Song, Dave Bautista, Kiernan Shipka and Billie Lourd.
For the big premiere night, Song, who broke out on the Disney Channel in the 2000s, wore an “incredible” vintage Stella McCartney gown styled by Elizabeth Stewart’s team. Song started the day “steaming my dress at 6 a.m.,” before moving onto glam with Richard Grant on hair and Tami El-Sombati on makeup.
“It’s all about the skin prep and yes, I’m in my pjs,” she captioned a photo of the process. Makeup was “a bronze smokey eye” and hair was “‘effortless’ waves that take a lot of effort and talent.”
To complete the vibe of the look, makeup artist El-Sombati “brought an early 2000s digital camera with her and took some fun shots on our way out,” Song said. After “one last touch up” and one final photo, Song was off to the premiere.
