Angel wings, clear stilettos, bronzed bodies and bombshell hair — the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is nothing without its main ingredients.
On Wednesday night in Brooklyn Navy Yard, brand ambassadors, influencers, editors and proud husbands (cough cough Dylan Sprouse and Patrick Schwarzenegger) gathered for the annual lingerie show by executive creative director Adam Selman, during which Madison Beer, K-pop girl group Twice, Karol G and Missy Elliott performed on the runway. Ahead of the show, attendees hit the pink carpet with hair as big and as bouncy as the Victoria’s Secret models.
Bombshell hair has been a fixture in the show’s history since the 1990s and early 2000s, accentuating sultry undergarments worn by the likes of supermodel legends Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel. The style is typically marked by a side part, drawn-out, face-framing curls and a teased root.
In a backstage video posted to the Victoria’s Secret TikTok page on Wednesday night, lead hairstylist Jawara Wauchope explained how he created this year’s bombshell style using a blowdryer, wide curlers, a comb and texture spray. Wauchope may not have styled the bombshell hair parade that took place on the pink carpet outside, but the look was flaunted nonetheless.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Thumann arrived in full Angel form; her muddy blond styled on the side of her head with teased curls. Thumann partnered with hair stylist Hayley Logan to create the look.
Isan Elba

Isan Elba let her hair down on the pink carpet. Her dark hair swept over the right side of her head with curls combed down over her shoulder. Elba has yet to credit the stylist she worked with to achieve the hairdo. WWD has reached out for a comment.

Former Victoria’s Secret runway model Jessica Stam evoked her love for the brand and this year’s Angels on Wednesday night with messy waves down to her chest. Stam’s hair toed the line of the bombshell aesthetic, evolving the look with a middle part rather than the signature side part. Hairstylist Cala Leonard, who’s worked with Aimee Lou Wood and Chloe Fineman, was the artist behind Stam’s style.

Beauty influencer McMichael arrived with wide waves falling to her midsection. The volume at her roots was unstoppable as she shook the body of her hair over her shoulders. McMichael has yet to announce the name of the stylist she worked with. WWD has reached out for confirmation.

“Love Island USA” season seven finalist Iris Kendall made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut with the brand’s signature bombshell hair. Here, her front pieces were cast away from her face; her ends brushed together in a tight bouncy curl. Though Kendall’s been seen collaborating with stylist Chris Appleton as of late, the reality star tapped Davey Matthew to construct her look for Wednesday night’s affair.

Anne Curtis may not have been sporting pink, but she paid homage to the brand’s heritage with a bountiful blowout. Curtis, like many of the other bombshell hair models on the carpet, parted hers on the right side of her head; her front layers pointed away from her cheek bones.
