Adidas’ Evo SL was widely hailed as one of the best running shoes of 2025, and its second year on the market shows no sign of slowing down.
The Bob Marley x Adidas Evo SL combines the colors of Jamaica and the Rastafari movement, along with other flourishes, for the reggae icon. Bright yellow dominates the upper and sole, including a midsole with a print of what appears to be shells. The Three Stripe motif is then rendered in red, black and green, while a black tongue carries a special patch with the message “Football Is Freedom,” as well as Marley’s portrait and signature.
On the interior, you’ll find the midsole print return in the four colors appearing throughout the rest of the sneaker, and mismatched lace tips come in green and red.
Marley was well known as a soccer fan outside of his music, and Adidas previously made a jersey for Dutch club Ajax referencing the singer. The choice was made because “Three Little Birds” has been an unofficial anthem for the fanbase since 2008, but the European continental body banned it for using marks not officially tied to the club.
Without Adidas’ involvement, Marley’s estate also partnered with Irish club Bohemian FC for an away shirt inspired by his only Irish show, which was also his last outdoor performance.
Just last week, Adidas released another Evo SL collaboration with the Mexican running label Hermanos Koumori. The model has also been spun off with an ATR version for all-terrain, with additional builds expected to follow.
The Bob Marley x Adidas Evo SL will release Feb. 6, likely through Adidas’ website and select third-party retailers. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.
