Blue UAS Cleared eBee VISION

New designation enables faster procurement by the U.S. Department of Defense and federal agencies

AgEagle Aerial Systems Inc. has announced that its eBee VISION drone has received Blue UAS Cleared status. The designation, issued through the Department of Defense (DoD), recognizes the drone as secure, reliable, and suitable for sensitive government operations. This announcement comes just one week after AgEagle’s eBee TAC received the same certification.

Streamlining Government Drone Acquisition

The Blue UAS Cleared status allows federal agencies, including the DoD, to procure the eBee VISION without additional vetting. It also confirms the platform meets strict cybersecurity and performance standards.

“This is very welcome news, and we are so proud that now the eBee VISION joins our eBee TAC on the Blue UAS Cleared list for the Department of Defense,” said Bill Irby, CEO of AgEagle Aerial Systems. “This is another pivotal achievement for AgEagle and will allow for fast acquisition and delivery of this much-needed capability into the hands of our Defense community to address swiftly evolving battlefield and security scenarios.”

The eBee VISION was previously Green UAS-certified. The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) now accepts that certification as a direct on-ramp to Blue UAS status. This streamlined process supports Executive Order 14307 and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s July 10 memorandum, which calls for the rapid deployment of NDAA-compliant Group 1 and 2 drones.

Key Features for Tactical ISR Missions

Weighing only 3.3 pounds, the eBee VISION drone delivers up to 100 minutes of flight time. It includes both electro-optical and thermal sensors, providing real-time situational awareness even in disconnected environments.

The drone’s compact build, low noise output, and secure communications make it ideal for tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. It can be launched in under three minutes by a single operator and includes a silent mode for stealth operations.

These features align with current defense needs for low-cost, scalable, and expendable drones.

A Strategic Milestone for AgEagle

With the addition of eBee VISION to the Blue UAS list, AgEagle can now market both eBee TAC and eBee VISION to federal buyers as cleared for use in critical missions.

These certifications reflect ongoing collaboration between AgEagle, the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), DIU, and other federal stakeholders.
