Blue Ivy Carter is already at the age where she’s taking fashion cues from her mom, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. The teenager was spotted with her dad Jay-Z at a basketball game between the Lakers and San Antonio Spurs at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday in Los Angeles, wearing a pair of Isabel Marant wedge sneakers.

Carter brought her cool-girl style courtside on Wednesday, opting for the Isabel Marant Bekett leather hidden-wedge sneakers, which currently retail for $790. The sneakers are made from multiple materials, with her pair featuring a burgundy suede and smooth black leather with a tan rubber outsole, a colorway that is not currently available on the website. The shoes feature round toes, thick Velcro straps across the upper, padded tongues and a stacked, concealed wedge heel measuring two inches.
She paired the trendy shoes with The Attico Fern denim cargo jeans in a dark blue, which retail for $1,200. She paired the jeans with an oversized Balenciaga Unity Sports Icon racer jacket, in black and silver leather. She accessorized with a Diesel 1DR XS iconic mini bag in solarized denim with a sun-faded effect and crystal details.

Eagle-eye fans on social media were quick to recall the “Texas Hold ‘Em” star wearing a pair of the same sneakers in 2013 in photos she shared on Instagram. While some speculated that Carter had been digging through her famous mom’s closet for the shoes, others wondered if they were from the recent rerelease Marant had for the popular shoes.
The Isabel Marant wedge sneaker had a resurgence earlier this year, making an appearance on the Lyst Index’s Q2 report, with the Bekett Hidden Wedge High Top ranked as the eighth hottest product in the world, with global demand spiking 630 percent this year. While Carter’s pair seems to be from the earlier releases, the wedge sneakers are currently available in a variety of new colors and styles on the Isabel Marant website.

While Tyla and Livvy Dune have been spotted wearing the sneaker wedges earlier this year, many associated the shoes with Beyoncé’s “Love on Top” video. The singer had also been spotted wearing the sneaker wedges in a wide range of variations since 2011, including the burgundy pair her daughter wore on Wednesday during an outing in Brooklyn in 2013. She wore a pair of all-black shoes while out to eat a month after her daughter was born in New York.

Since its 2011 debut, the Bekett has reportedly sold over 260,000 pairs, and Marant has extended the style’s relevance by releasing capsule updates and collaborations, including the Balskee and two Converse releases, which FN reported on earlier this year.
