For the first time in years, Beyoncé has shared a music video. Well, sort of: The new short, titled âBeywatchâ and released on U.S. Election Day, presents her in Halloween get-up as Pamela Anderson, singing along to an edit of Cowboy Carter track âBodyguard,â and encouraging people to vote, before wishing us a happy âBeylloween.â Watch it go down below.
Beyoncéâs last music videos were excerpted from her visual album Black Is King, as were their predecessors from the Lemonade film. Her last standalone solo music video was for âFormationâ in 2015, though she has appeared in some ads soundtracked by her songs.
The release of âBeywatchâ follows her appearance last month at a Kamala Harris rally in Houston, where she and former Destinyâs Child bandmate Kelly Rowland delivered a speech advocating for the Democratic nominee and, in particular, for reproductive freedom. She had previously granted permission for Harris to play her music (namely the Lemonade track âFreedomâ) at campaign eventsâan honor denied to Donald Trump.
