2025 brought about a slew of fashion trends in the footwear realm, many of which were embodied by buzzy luxury collaborations. These partnerships spanned a wide range, from French fashion houses teaming up on glamorous dress shoes to sport and luxury labels teaming up on athletic products.
Below, FN rounds up some of the best luxury collaborations of the year.
Christian Louboutin x Maison Margiela

Two of the biggest names in luxury, Christian Louboutin and Maison Margiela, teamed up to release a capsule collection in March. The collection included seven shoe options across two capsules, Maison Margiela by Christian Louboutin and Christian Louboutin by Maison Margiela. From Margiela’s famous Tabi toe and deconstructed techniques to Louboutin’s red sole (seen on all the shoes), the capsule merged the houses’ respective design codes. The styles were seen at a launch party, as showcased above by actress Talia Ryder, and other stars, including Jenna Ortega, Teyana Taylor and Renée Zellwegger wore shoes from the collection at different events.
New Balance x Miu Miu
FN’s 2025 Collaboration of the Year Award went to New Balance and Miu Miu, two brands with storied family histories. Their collaborative relationship was taken to the next level this year through a tennis-inspired capsule collection with tennis star Coco Gauff (who won FN’s Style Influencer of the Year Award). The slim-soled 530 SL sneaker was a big hit, done in elevated colorways like silver and gold. While the price tag was steep, the style was selling out. The two brands have previously released versions of the 530 SL and also reinterpreted New Balance’s 574 sneaker for their first drop together in 2022.

Crocs x Simone Rocha
Crocs and Simone Rocha continued their successful collaboration with a third installment in April and a fourth drop in October. The latter, the spring 2026 collection, brought about the Ballerina Platform style, which debuted in September during London Fashion Week. The brands’ collaborative shoes are known for incorporating pearls and bows, reflecting Simone Rocha’s romantic, feminine flair. Deemed red carpet worthy, Michelle Yeoh wore a pair of platform clogs stemming from the partnership at the premiere of “Ne Zha II” in August.

Nike x Jacquemus
Nike and Jacquemus have collaborated on many archival silhouettes over the course of three years, most recently releasing a reinvention of Nike’s first shoe in the fall. It was the first time that the Moon Shoe — hand-built by Nike cofounder Bill Bowerman and featuring the brand’s famous waffle sole — was the site of reinvention. The Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe came out in three colorways, featuring a ruched nylon upper and Nike Grind outsole, bringing together the racing roots of the shoe style with a modern ballet look. Bringing more attention to the partnership, actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez starred in a campaign for the collaboration.

Fendi x Red Wing
Fendi and Red Wing released a collection of women’s boots in February, amid a milestone year for both brands, as Fendi celebrates 100 years in business and Red Wing celebrates 120 years. A campaign for the collaboration showcased the shoes in the brands’ respective factories in Italy and Minnesota. The Red Wing Fendi boot applied Fendi’s Cuoio Romano leather and Selleria hand stitching, as well as the brand’s sienna red and natural beige color palette, to Red Wing’s Classic Moc boot style, which dates back to 1952. While you might not immediately associate the two brands, they are both longstanding family-owned businesses with a commitment to craft.
