Bella Hadid made her return to the runway on Tuesday during Paris Fashion Week. The 28-year-old model closed out the Saint Laurent fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection show nearly one year after Hadid announced she was taking a break from modeling.
On the runway, Hadid wore a semi-sheer ensemble with ornate lace detailing throughout in a shade of eggplant purple. The intricate lace work featured an abundance of botanical inspiration, with floral motifs throughout.

The shoulders of the dress included bold, boxy shoulders with long sleeves and a midi length. The look also incorporated some hardware with a metallic chocker necklace. The ensemble was coordinated with a pair of pumps, and Hadid’s glam included a natural, clean makeup look with her hair styled in a sleek, tight chignon.
In 2024, Hadid announced she was taking an unofficial step back from modeling, citing her focus on her mental and physical health and her intention to prioritize her interpersonal relationships. “Treatment was painful, I have to be honest, and to be away from work for the first time in 10 years, I realized I was a workaholic,” Hadid told WWD in January 2024. The model often uses social media as a way to address her treatment for Lyme disease and chronic disease.

Since her 2024 profile, however, Hadid has appeared in a few campaigns and on some runways. Most notably, Hadid appeared on the runway for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in October 2024. Last February, Hadid fronted a campaign for Frankies Bikinis.
Hadid’s Saint Laurent fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection look was wholly evocative of the main themes for creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s latest batch of designs. “The fall collection packed a wallop with its rich palette; sophisticated color combinations immediately recognizable as YSL, like ochre-khaki or orange purple; commanding shoulders, and a low-slung waistline, which tied a neat bow on the ’80s trend that’s been percolating through Paris,” Miles Socha wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“The designer took cues from the ’90s haute couture collections of Yves Saint Laurent, reprising rhinestone-studded sunglasses, watery florals he slicked with silicone for a more modern allure, and his dramatic finale gowns — lacy slipdresses that erupt into full teacup skirts below the hips without crinolines or hoops underneath, only tulle.”
