Bella Hadid Embraces the Boho Trend with New Valentino Bag in New York

Bella Hadid put an equestrian spin on the Boho trend in New York on Saturday. The supermodel accessorized with one of Valentino‘s newest handbag designs, the studded suede fringe Nellcôte crossbody from their resort 2025 collection.

Hadid paired a plunging back long-sleeve top with vintage Chloé pants, which originally debuted on the runway during the label’s spring 2001 presentation. The cream pleated trousers feature a horse printed on the left leg. Cowboy boots, a leather jacket, hoop earrings and rectangular frames topped off Hadid’s look.

Stylist Molly Dickson, who also counts A-listers like Lana Del Rey and Sydney Sweeney as clients, curated Hadid’s look.

Boho fashions have seen a runway revival thanks in part to Chloé’s new creative director Chemena Kamali, who debuted flowing dresses, lace blouses and fringe trousers for the brand’s fall 2024 collection. During the spring 2025 season, several labels partook in the free-spirited fad, including Saint Laurent and Isabel Marant.

Valentino’s resort 2025 collection marked Alessandro Michele’s debut for the brand. Revealed in June, the line comprises 171 looks that span womenswear and menswear. The designer delved into Valentino’s archives for inspiration, nodding to multiple decades including the ’50s, ’70s and ’80s.

“I love objects, I have an intimate relationship with material things, it’s almost like a religious meeting and I feel a great privilege to be able to touch [founder Valentino Garavani’s] designs, as if they were a relic part of his life,” Michele told WWD. “The rugs, the Chinese vases, the beautiful things he surrounded himself with conditioned his designs. He amplified beauty. I share the same kind of relationship with fashion as a great vehicle for freedom.”
